Amaryllis on its Way Up

One of the gifts I received for Christmas was an amaryllis.  I actually got it right after the new year.  I haven't had an amaryllis for several years, so I was delighted to get this one.  It's such fun to watch them come up so quickly, and to have a big, beautiful flower in the middle of the winter. 


The box included the bulb, soil, and a pot, so all I had to do was moisten the soil mix and set it up where it would get bright light. Now, after about three weeks, it's just shooting up, and beginning to form a bulb.
